Brittany
was born Sharon Lane Murphy in Atlanta, Georgia on November 10, 1977. The
Murphys relocated to Edison, NJ where Brittany got her first taste of acting in
regional theater. She soon signed with a manager and landed her first commercial
role, promoting Skittles. In 1991 Brittany and her mom moved to Burbank,
California when the young actress landed her first television role on the show
"Blossom." Brittany's big film breakthrough came in 1995 when she
starred opposite Alicia Silverstone in the movie "Clueless." She has
since had 25 screen appearances, including "Girl, Interrupted" with
close friend Winona Ryder, and "Don't Say a Word" with Michael
Douglas. Brittany lives with her mother in Los Angeles.
