About Diane Kruger
Diane Kruger was born in Diane Heidkrueger on July 15, 1976 in Hildesheim, Germany. As a girl, she studied with the Royal Ballet in London. When an injury ended her career in dance, Diane returned to Germany where she soon became a top fashion model. She was a finalist in Elite's 1992 Look of the Year competition at the age of 15. With an eye toward a career in acting, Diane moved to Paris where she married French actor Guillaume Canet (The Beach) in September 2001. She made her onscreen debut in 2002 opposite Dennis Hopper and Christopher Lambert in The Piano Player. She plays Françoise in Louis-Pascal Couvelaire's Michel Vaillant and Lisa in Wicker Park with Josh Hartnett. Her most notable role to date is her portrayal of Helen in Wolfgang Peterson's epic Troy.
