About Jennifer Garner

Jennifer Garner was born April 17, 1972 in Houston, Texas.  She was raised by her mother Pat, a retired English teacher, and her father, Bill, a former chemical engineer in Charleston, West Virginia.  As a child she studied ballet for nine years.  She graduated from Denison University, Granville, Ohio, with a Theatre degree in 1994.  She got a small role in a TV movie, Zoya in 1995 and other roles in television movies, mini series and parts in movies like Mr. Magoo in 1997, Dude Where's My Car in 2000 and Pearl Harbor in 2001.  Her breakout role was the lead role in the Alias television series in 2001. In 2005 she married Ben Affleck.
