WILL SMITH WEIGHS IN ON HIS SON TREY'S FIRST REPORTING JOB AS
"ACCESS HOLLYWOOD'S" GUEST CORRESPONDENT AT THE NICKELODEON
KIDS' CHOICE AWARDS
BURBANK, Calif. – April 4, 2005 –
In an interview with Trey Smith, who made his reporting debut as
"Access Hollywood's" Guest Correspondent on Saturday at the
Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, his father, actor Will Smith rates his
performance. The interview airs on "Access Hollywood," Monday,
April 4, 2005 (check local listings for time and station).
"You are doing a good job," Will Smith told his 12-year-old
son after giving him a few pointers on how to get a celebrity to stop and
talk. "I am proud of you baby." When Trey asked his father if
that meant he could have his award for Best Voice from an Animated Movie,
("Shark Tale"), the actor turned him down. "You have my MTV
spaceman, so you can't have this one (laughs)."
Earning his reporting stripes, Trey also asked actor Anthony Anderson
if the rumor that he had been cast to play Biggie Smalls in the upcoming
biography of the late rapper, was true. "No one has contacted me, but
I would love to," replied Anderson. The actor then turned to the
"Access Hollywood" cameras and sent a message to P. Diddy, who
is one of the producers of the project. "Diddy, since you are
producing it, you have my number, give me a call and let's make it
happen."
Landing an interview with Oscar® winner Jamie Foxx, who won the
evening's award for Best Hidden Talent, the ability to cross and un-cross
his eyes one at a time, 12-year-old Smith asked him where he would display
his newest statue. "I'm going to put it right next to my Oscar,"
Foxx revealed.
"Access Hollywood" is produced by NBC and distributed by NBC
Universal Domestic Television Distribution. Rob K. Silverstein is the
executive producer. |
