Rod Stewart's daughter Kimberly is following in her father's footsteps - by covering his hit song Do Ya Think I'm Sexy in an attempt to rival his success.

The 25-year-old model was shocked when record label bosses asked to hear her sing, because she was convinced they'd hate her voice.

But the music moguls were so amazed by her vocal talent, they asked her to record an album, which is set to feature the 1970s classic.

She explains, "This really came out of the left-field - a producer just wanted to get me in the studio and see what happened.

"I thought they were going to say, 'Go home and never come out of your room because you have the worst voice ever,' but they were very surprised.

"The album will be kind of pop/rock and they want me to do a Do Ya Think I'm Sexy cover. I'm trying to make the song my own."
