Paula Abdul Can't Find a Lawyer 4/18/05 Eighties pop star-turned-American Idol judge Paula Abdul may have to settle a manicure complaint with a Los Angeles beauty shop herself after failing to find a lawyer to represent her. The Strait Up hitmaker was seeking compensation from parlor Chinoiserie after an employee at the salon allegedly broke a nail on the singer's right thumb - causing her terrible pain. But Abdul has already been turned down by one top attorney, according to US news show Celebrity Justice, and the owner of the salon, Tammy Lee, insists she'll struggle to get a settlement. She says, "When she came in, her nail (was) already sick." But Abdul, who underwent surgery to have the thumbnail removed after the mishap, insists she has a case and she's determined to seek justice. She fumes, "The truth is I've had manicures forever and I've never run into a problem like this." |
