Britney Spears' aides have downplayed reports the pregnant singer's been put under 24-hour medical watch.

The TOXIC star's fans have already been thrown into a panic by rumors Spears

- who's expecting her first child with husband Kevin Federline - was hospitalized when she discovered bleeding.

And now British TV network Sky News claim doctors have warned Spears if the bleeding reoccurred she faces a 50 per cent chance of miscarrying, sparking the sexy star's mum LYNNE to organize round-the-clock care.

An insider tells the satellite channel, "Britney was in tears. Though she wasn't in any pain, the prospect of losing the child she was desperate for really got to her."

However, Spears' representatives have blasted reports her health problems are causing her family grave concern, insisting her recent hospital stay was the result of a "common complaint".
