Britney Spear's Husband Slammed for Smoking Around Pregnant Wife  4/22/05

Britney Spears' husband Kevin Federline has been slammed for smoking in the presence of his pregnant wife.

Last week (ends15APR05), Toxic singer Spears ended weeks of speculation by confirming that she and her husband of seven months are expecting their first child.

And despite the good news, Federline - already a father of two - was photographed smoking as he sat next to his wife in a car on 14 April (05), sparking outrage.

Fit Pregnancy editor-in-chief Peg Moline says that secondhand smoke can be extremely dangerous, affecting the development of the baby's lungs and possibly leading to childhood asthma.

She notes, "If Kevin wants to smoke, he should do it outside."
