UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., April 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Following the
successful run of the first season of "Celebrity Fit Club," VH1
has gathered a new group of celebrities for "Celebrity Fit Club
2," now in production. The series will air this summer on Thursdays
at 10PM*.
In season one, eight diverse Celebrity Fit Clubbers bitched, battled
and bonded their way through 14 back-breaking weeks of Fit Club training.
This season, eight very distinct celebrity personalities-Gary Busey
("The Buddy Holly Story"), Jackee Harry ("227" and
"Sister Sister"), Willie Aames ("Eight is Enough"),
Tocarra Jones ("America's Top Model"), Phil Margera ("Viva
La Bam"), Jani Lane (lead singer of rock group Warrant), Victoria
Jackson ("Saturday Night Live") and returning hero Wendy Kaufman
(The Snapple Lady)- embark on their own grueling fitness journey that
promises a mixed bag of physical challenges.
Our celeb crew won't be left to their own weight-loss devices. VH1 has
hooked them up with an impressive team of experts. The hard-driving Harvey
Walden IV, U.S. Marine trainer and drill sergeant returns to the series,
NBC medical correspondent Dr. Ian Smith and TV psychologist/body image
expert Dr. Linda Papadopoulos also weigh in to keep our celebs honest and
help them achieve their goals.
Can belly dancing help former party boy turned "Bibleman"
Willie Aames lose his spare tire? Will "Viva La Bam's" Phil
Margera run from a high colonic? Will wild man Gary Busey drive his fellow
fit clubbers over the edge? Find out on this thrilling second season of
"Celebrity Fit Club," hosted by actor/comedian Ant.
The first season of "Celebrity Fit Club" featured Daniel
Baldwin, Mia Tyler, Ralphie May, Joe Gannescoli ("The
Sopranos"), Wendy Kaufman (The Snapple Lady), Kim Coles, Judge
Mablean Ephraim (Divorce Court) and Biz Markie. Individually they all
achieved great success, while collectively the group lost an impressive
224 pounds!
