Orlando Bloom Took Leading Man Tips From Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp  4/28/05

Orlando Bloom was confident he had what it takes to carry a movie when he accepted the lead role in upcoming epic Kingdom of Heaven - because Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp taught him how to be a leading man.

Bloom, who co-starred with Pitt and Depp in Troy and Pirates of the Caribbean respectively, noted how the two superstars conducted themselves and aped their behavior on the set of director Ridley Scott's historical film.

The 28-year-old says, "The pressure of being a lead in a film like this was much easier by the fact I'd seen actors such as Viggo Mortensen in The Lord of the Rings, Brad Pitt in Troy and Johnny Depp in Pirates all carry movies with great integrity and grace."
