Tom Cruise Cancels Mission Impossible 3 Promotions  4/19/06

New dad Tom Cruise has cancelled initial promotional appearances for his Mission Impossible III movie to spend time with his fiancée Katie Holmes and their new baby Suri.

The Hollywood couple welcomed their 7 pound, 7 ounce (3.36 kilograms) daughter in Los Angeles yesterday (18APR06), a little sister for Cruise's adopted children from his marriage to Nicole Kidman, Isabella and Connor.

Before the birth, Cruise stunned fans by scheduling appearances at the film's premieres in Europe, Mexico and his native America for next week (begs24APR06), despite his admittance that Holmes was due any day.

Cruise was expected in Rome, Italy, on Monday (24APR06) for the action movie's world premiere, before journeying to London; Paris, France; Mexico City and New York City.

However, after the birth yesterday, a Paramount representative said Cruise had cancelled all press appearances.
