Tom Cruise: "Baby Experience Was Just What We Wanted"  4/24/06

An excited Tom Cruise has spoken about the birth of his baby girl, Suri, admitting the labor experience was everything he and his fiancée Katie Holmes could have wished for.

The movie star sat down with US newscaster Deborah Roberts for his first post-birth interview, which aired Friday night (21APR06) on news magazine show 20/20.

Cruise told Roberts, "It was everything that we wanted. You hear about it and you experience it. It was spiritual, it was powerful, it was indescribable.

What words can you use? It's still something I'm processing and reliving."

Holmes gave birth Suri on Tuesday (18APR06) in Los Angeles.
