Vanessa Minnillo Denies Nick Lachey Romance 4/24/06

MTV presenter Vanessa Minnillo has laughed off reports she's secretly dating Nick Lachey, insisting gossips are taking their video romance too far.

The pretty brunette has been romantically linked to Lachey, who split from pop star Jessica Simpson last year (05), for the past two months, but she insists they're just good friends.

She says, "I've known him for years and he's a friend and I admire his work... and, of course, you know how the biz goes - as soon as I worked with him, now, all of a sudden, we're dating! No! We're not dating.

"I'm sorry guys, you've gotta find a new girl to pick fun at."

Minnillo appears as Lachey's love interest in his new video What's Left of Me.
