George Clooney Tells of Sudanese Plight  4/29/06

George Clooney's father Nick wants to educate the world about the plight of two million Sudanese refugees after the pair visited the war-torn African nation.

The journalist-turned-politician was shocked by what he described as the "ethnic cleansing" of those left stranded by their own government.

He tells the New York Daily News, "These folks are helpless out there.

There's nobody between them and very bad people."

Father and son will join a Sudan support rally in Washington DC on Sunday (30APR06).
