Beyonce Knowles Wins Former Business Aide Court Case  4/4/07

A New York judge has dismissed a suit filed against Beyonce Knowles and Tina Knowles over a business deal gone bad.

Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Herman Kahn ruled this morning (03APR07) there was no evidence of a written contract between the plaintiff, Icon Entertainment CEO Greg Walker, and the mother-and-daughter fashion team behind House Of Dereon.

Walker claimed the Knowleses had held back commission he felt he was owed for helping them set up a deal with clothing manufacturer Wear Me Apparel Corp, which prompted the birth of the House Of Dereon line.

Walker filed the lawsuit last summer (06), after Beyonce paid him $25,000 for his help in setting up a string of marketing and endorsement deals for her. He felt that figure was an insult.
