Jennifer Lopez Does Jury Duty  4/3/07

Superstar Jennifer Lopez reported for jury duty in Beverly Hills, California yesterday (02APR07) after being picked at random from local residents.

But the singer/actress need not have feared she would be caught up in a lengthy and time consuming legal battle, keeping her away from the movie and recording studio - the case was dropped and Lopez sent home after just six hours.

According to TMZ, Lopez was "down to earth" and happily chatted to other jurors - and spent most of her time text messaging friends from the jury room.
