Tony Blair's Aide Cleared of Stealing Government File on Eminem  4/10/07

A legal aide of British Prime Minister Tony Blair has been cleared of stealing a government file on US rapper Eminem.

The classified document was found during a raid for an unrelated incident at the house of Nicholas Smart, who works with Blair's private legal team.

Smart denied charges of theft and claimed he took the file by accident and was too scared to return it, reports allhiphop.com

According to the file the Slim Shady star, real name Marshall Mathers III, was being investigated by UK government officials for inciting fans to take drugs during his 2001 tour. However, no prosecution of the rapper was carried out.
