Sara Evans Named in Former Nanny's Lawsuit  4/12/07

Country star Sara Evans and her attorneys have been named in a defamation suit filed by her former nanny, Alison Clinton.

Clinton claims she was slandered and libeled in court documents that Evans and her legal team filed in October 2006 in connection with the singer's divorce from husband Craig Schelske.

In her divorce suit, Evans claimed her former nanny had an affair with Schelske. Clinton and Schelske have always maintained the allegations are false.

Clinton is seeking $3 million in punitive and compensatory damages.
