Donny Osmond Asks Simon Cowell for Job on The X Factor  4/18/07

Former teen heart-throb Donny Osmond has asked music mogul Simon Cowell for a job on his British TV talent show The X Factor.

The American Idol star is looking for a new co-judge on the ITV program, after former judge, Irish pop svengali Louis Walsh was sacked earlier this year (07).

If Osmond gets the job, he would be judging wannabe pop singers and groups alongside Sharon Osbourne and Dannii Minogue.

Osmond enthuses, "I'd love to be a judge, oh man, in a heartbeat.

"It's a show where talent is the basis instead of someone's personal hygiene, like on that voyeuristic Big Brother.

"I come from an era where singers didn't lip-synch, they performed. Show us what you can do."

Osmond's US dream show The Great American Dream was cancelled last month (Mar07) following poor viewing figures.
