Teri Hatcher to Sing on Idol Gives Back  4/4/08

Teri Hatcher will show off her singing skills when she performs on American Idol's U.S. charity fundraiser Idol Gives Back next week (09Apr08).

The Desperate Housewives star will hit the high notes on the mini-telethon, which will also feature appearances by Bono, Brad Pitt, Annie Lennox, Robin Williams and Kiefer Sutherland.

The New York Daily News reports the actress will perform Carrie Underwood's Before He Cheats with Desperate Housewives co-star James Denton and Hugh Laurie's celebrity group The Band From TV.

Comedienne Ellen DeGeneres was slated to host the Idol Gives Back show, but she has pulled out due to "personal production pressure".

Idol gives back organizers are hoping to raise over $100 million for charities like the Children's Defense Fund, The Global Fund To Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis And Malaria, Make It Right and Save The Children.
