IN SEASON FINALE
Plus, Third Finalist Determined By America's Vote Will Be Revealed In
First Five Minutes Of Finale!
BURBANK, CA – The winner of NBC's hit series "The Biggest Loser:
Couples" will be revealed in an exciting, two-hour live finale on
Tuesday, April 15 (8-10 p.m. ET). And the contestant who won America's
vote to be the third place finalist will be revealed in the first five
minutes of the show!
In this season five finale, all of the contestants will return for a
special reunion and a chance to weigh in one last time – and show
America how much weight they've lost since the beginning of their
weight-loss journeys. Adding to the finale fun will be several surprise
guests very familiar to "Biggest Loser" viewers.
In last week's episode airing Tuesday, April 8, there were four
finalists left. At the final weigh-in, Alison Vincent (Mesa, AZ) and
Kellie Fields (Titusville, FL) from trainer
Jillian Michaels' "black team" both came in above the yellow line,
earning the highest percentage of weight loss for the week and securing
their spots as two of the three finalists competing for the $250,000 grand
prize.
Mark Kruger (Dartmouth, MA) and Roger Shultz (Enterprise, AL) of
trainer Bob Harper's "blue team" fell below the yellow line, and
in a surprising twist, learned from host Alison Sweeney that viewers –
not the other contestants – would determine which of them would be the
third place finalist by voting at www.nbc.com. America's vote will be
revealed at the beginning of the live finale, and then the eliminated
player will weigh in with the other 16 eliminated contestants to compete
for the $100,000 "at home" prize.
Then it's the moment viewers have been waiting for, when one of the
three finalists will be named this season's "Biggest Loser" and
win the coveted grand prize of $250,000.
Alison Sweeney is the host, and Bob Harper and
Jillian Michaels also star.
