George Clooney Baffled by Marriage Rumors  4/10/08

Hollywood actor George Clooney was baffled by recent reports he was to wed girlfriend Sarah Larson - insisting he was only alerted to the story when a friend called to congratulate him.

The star was recently forced to deny he was to marry Larson after reports surfaced claiming he had proposed to the former cocktail waitress and they were planning a ceremony in Italy.

But Clooney is convinced he was the last to know about the story.

He says, "My BlackBerry (cellphone) woke me up the other day. It was buzzing away and when I looked at the message it said I was getting married. I thought, 'Wow! Somebody should tell Sarah!'"
