Sam Lutfi Still in Contact With Britney Spears Despite Restraining Order  4/17/08

Britney Spears' former manager Sam Lutfi insists he is still part of the star's life - claiming he is in constant contact with the singer's family to discuss her wellbeing.

The Toxic star's family was granted an extension on a restraining order against the former manager by a Los Angeles Superior Court judge in a hearing on Wednesday (16Apr08), meaning he will have to stay out of Spears' life for another two-and-half months.

But in a statement to US Magazine, Lutfi insists he is on the singer's side - stating he often speaks to Spears' family to check up on the singer.

Lutfi's spokesman, Michael Sands, tells the publication, "Sam and the family are communicating and co-operating trying to do what's best for Britney."
