Jackie Chan Blasts Olympic Protests  4/21/08

Chinese action star Jackie Chan has criticized protestors demonstrating against the forthcoming Beijing Olympic Games - insisting they just "want to show off on TV".

The Olympic torch relay - which sees the famous flame pass through a variety of different countries prior to the games' opening ceremony - has been dogged by protests from pro-Tibet campaigners, angry at China's human rights record in the region.

Violence broke out on both the London and Paris legs of the journey - with the relay nearly called off over safety fears.

And Chan - who is an official ambassador for this summer's (08) Olympic Games - is furious about the disruption.

He says, "They (the protestors) just want to show off on TV.
