"We are so fortunate to be the home of 'Dancing with the Stars.'
The relationship with the producers and BBC Worldwide Productions has been
incredibly rewarding for us all, and I thank everyone who has made this
show such a phenomenal success," said Stephen McPherson, president,
ABC Entertainment. "It's a unique show that demonstrates family
viewing and appointment television are alive and well, and we look forward
to many more successful seasons."
"It's such an honor to reach our 100th show still going
strong," said executive producer Conrad Green. "It's been great
to bring dancing back to primetime with a family-friendly show. Our 100th
celebration will bring back many of our favorite past stars for new
performances, and is one of the most exciting and ambitious results shows
we've ever made."
In a special episode of "Dancing with the Stars the Results
Show," viewers are in for a special treat with appearances by alumni
from seasons past returning to celebrate this landmark. Fan favorites and
Season Four champions Apolo Anton Ohno and Julianne Hough reunite for a
special performance, while Season Five standout Mel B. hits the dance
floor with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Other stars joining the
celebration include Sabrina Bryan, Joey Fatone, Master P., Jerry Rice,
Jane Seymour, Jerry Springer, Wayne Newton and many more. We'll also look
back at some of the most memorable moments in the show's history and be
treated to a spectacular performance by the professional dancers.
Season Two finalist Mario Lopez returns to the ballroom as "Macy's
Stars of Dance" presents "A Chorus Line." Mario is
currently starring in the Broadway production of the hugely successful
musical. "Macy's Stars of Dance" features some of the best
choreographers and performers from different styles of dance, offering
viewers performances that represent the peak of achievement in their
genres.
By evening's end, the celebrity with the lowest-composite score will be
eliminated, as determined by a combination of the judges' scores and
viewers' votes.
