LeAnn Rimes Looks Out for Nashville Star Winner Erika Jo  8/1/05

Country singer LeAnn Rimes has offered to help the winner of US TV talent show Nashville Star cope with the pressures of the music industry.

Erika Jo, 18, beat out competition from hundreds of hopefuls when she won the country music equivalent of American Idol in April (05), landing herself a record deal in the process.

And singer Rimes, who presented Nashville Star, has promised she'll look after Jo during the early stages of her career.

Rimes says, "She doesn't quite know what all this business has to hold for her - good and bad.

"But now that she's in the business, I'll probably be seeing her and if she asks, I'll definitely tell her what she needs to know."
