Critics See Little of Jessica Simpson in The Dukes of Hazzard Debut  8/2/05

Fans of Jessica Simpson excitedly preparing to see her movie debut in The Duke of Hazzard have been dealt disappointing news - critics have announced she's barely in it. The singer flashes her sexy curves in the movie adaptation of the cult 1970s series as Disy Duke, but members of the press who have attended advance screenings note that Simpson's role is as small as her costume.

Trade publication the Hollywood reporter says in its review of the film, "Jessica Simpson and her attire make equally brief appearances. "More of her actual performance might turn up on DVD, but the bits that make it into the theatrical version play like outtakes from her more entertaining These Boots are Made for Walkin' video."
