Jessica Simpson credits her reality show with "making" her showbiz career - because she would never have been more than a singer without it.

The singer-turned-actress landed her first ever movie role - in The Dukes of Hazzard - off the back of Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica. And she accepts she needed the exposure it gave her, to launch her into Hollywood.

She says, "It made my career. I already was an established singer, but this took me to the level I aspired to get to. Not by talent, but because of who I am. That means more to me than it being my talent."
