BRAVO EXTENDS RUN OF THE HIT SERIES “BEING BOBBY BROWN” AND ADDS
TWO NEW EPISODES
NEW SEASON FINALE WILL AIR ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 25 AT 10 PM ET/PT
NEW YORK – August 5, 2005 – Due to the overwhelming success and
popularity of the hit cinema verité style series "Being Bobby
Brown," Bravo has added two additional episodes to the schedule. The
new episodes will air in its regular 10 p.m. ET/PT Thursday timeslot with
the season finale airing on August 25 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. The announcement
was made today by Lauren Zalaznick, President of Bravo.
"The first eight episodes of 'Being Bobby Brown' have kept Bravo
viewers buzzing and have even helped contribute to adding new
catch-phrases to our pop-culture vernacular," said Zalaznick.
"This is a highly compelling and engaging series, and we hope two new
episodes will satisfy viewers' appetites for more Bobby and Whitney.
Viewers will continue get the inside look at "Being Bobby
Brown" in the two additional episodes. The episode premiering
Thursday, August 18, will take an inside look at Bobby and Whitney's
Atlanta and New Jersey homes. The season finale, premiering August 25,
will take a behind the scenes look at "Being Bobby Brown"
showcasing some of the favorite moments from the series and will also
reveal never before seen footage from Bobby's life.
As one of the hottest R&B stars of the late '80s and early '90s,
Brown is credited for popularizing New Jack Swing, a hybrid style of
R&B/soul music combined with rap and Hip-Hop rhythms. A founding
member of New Edition, Brown left the group in 1986 to embark on a solo
career. Brown's second solo album, "Don't Be Cruel," which was
released in 1988, landed him on the cutting-edge of modern R&B and
spawned the no. 1 hit "My Prerogative," and other char-toppers
such as "Roni," and "Every Little Step," which earned
him a Grammy in 1989 for Best Rhythm and Blues Vocal Performance, Male.
Brown's other hits include the "Ghostbusters II" theme "On
Our Own," "She Ain't Worth It," "Humpin'Around,"
"Good Enough," "Get Away," and "That's the Way
Love Is."
"Being Bobby Brown" is co-produced by B2 Entertainment and

producer and Wanda Shelley is producer for B2 Entertainment. Bobby Brown
and his brother Tommy Brown are co-executive producers of the series.
