Jude Law Comforted by Michael Sheen  8/8/05

Kate Beckinsale's ex-partner Michael Sheen has offered his support to Jude Law following revelations that the Hollywood star cheated on fiancée Sienna Miller with nanny Daisy Wright.

Underworld star Sheen says that Law was there for him when he was dumped by Pearl Harbor star Kate Beckinsale for their Underworld director Len Wiseman in 2003.

According to the 36-year-old, who has a six-year-old daughter Lily with Beckinsale, Law "was great when I split up with Kate. He took me out for a drink and gave me advice."

"I know it's not easy having your private life splashed all over the papers.

He must be going through a hard time - he and Sienna are a golden couple."
