Screen star Reese Witherspoon adores Britain because nobody cares about who she is.

The Sweet Home Alabama actress is impressed by the UK's laid back attitude to celebrity, and views a trip across the Atlantic as a welcome respite from the hysteria of Hollywood.

She says, "The UK is fantastic because there just isn't as much focus on my life.

"It's not the same kind of celebrity that we have in America. It's more relaxed. Nobody cares.

"It's an escape - and I enjoy the idea that actors and actresses are just working people. They're part of a crew that gets movies made and there's not a lot of special treatment."
