The OC Star Slams Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes  8/9/05

The OC actress Rachel Bilson is the latest celebrity to slam Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' public declarations of love. 

Bilson, who is enjoying a low key relationship with co-star Adam Brody, believes couples should want to preserve the intimacy of their relationships and is shocked at Cruise and Holmes' willingness to flaunt themselves to further their careers. 

She says, "I think everyone frowns on people having relationships in the work place, whether it is in an office building or a TV studio, so we were a little bit quiet about it at first. "Also you want things to develop on your own without everyone watching. I think that is what everyone wants isn't it? Unless, you are Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes." 

Screen legend Lauren Bacall recently branded Cruise and Holmes' romance "vulgar" and "shocking".
