Tom Cruise Leaves Beckhams Impressed  8/17/05

Hollywood actor Tom Cruise left former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham and her soccer star husband David Beckham dumbstuck when he recently suggested they all meet up, as the British couple had worshipped him from afar for years.

Following their meeting, the Beckhams were left deeply impressed by the War of the Worlds superstar, not simply because of his A-list presence, but also because of his striking intelligence.

Victoria says, "The strange thing is it was Tom who suggested we meet. We were devoted fans of his.

"When we met him for the first time, I was pregnant and he came for dinner.

"He's an incredible person and he said a lot of things that really impressed us, not because it's Tom Cruise but because he's terribly intelligent."
