Fresh from making her big screen debut, Jessica Simpson has been targeted by promoters who want her to perform a series of Las Vegas shows.

The 25-year-old The Dukes of Hazzard star has attracted the attention of businessman George Maloof, who wants to employ her as a headliner at his trendy Palms Resort And Casino.

While it has been reported that the blonde beauty is "on the verge" of signing a three-year deal worth millions, her representative says, "I can confirm that there was interest on the Palms' part, but it's not an offer the Simpson's are considering."

Simpson and her husband Nick Lachey purchased a luxury condominium in the new development Palms Place - which is connected to the hotel - earlier this year (05).
