Aaron Carter Defends Lindsay Lohan's Weight Loss  8/22/05

Aaron Carter has become the unlikely defender of Lindsay Lohan, insisting his ex-girlfriend's recent family woes have sparked her dramatic weight loss - not drugs or partying.

Pop teen Carter fell out with redhead after dating her and Hilary Duff at the same time two years ago (03). And while the two have yet to patch up their differences, Carter blames Lohan's svelte frame on her parents' divorce, among other woes.

He says, "She's going through a rough time right now, family drama. I've been through the same stuff. It can cause health problems and it can cause mental problems. She's just got to stay strong and she'll get through it...

"It doesn't mean she has an addiction to drugs, it doesn't mean she is a partygoer. That girl works her butt off, and dealing with all of her family stuff at the same time, it's going to do it to you."
