Gloria Estefan and Shania Twain Pay Tribute to Desperate Housewives on Album  8/23/05

Shania Twain and Gloria Estfan are among the stars so inspired by hit TV show Desperate Housewives, they've recorded tunes for a new accompanying album.

Twain's new single Shoes leads the project, Music From and Inspired by Desperate Housewives, which also features the track God Bless the American Housewife, written especially for the album by country trio Shedaisy.

Meanwhile, the video for Twain's single will feature the stars of the show.

The album also features Estefan singing Young Hearts Run Free, Liz Phair covering the Rolling Stones' Motherss Little Helper and the Indigo Girls revamping Simon and Garfunkel's Mrs. Robinson.

The album will be released next month (SEP05) to coincide with the start of the second season of the hit show.
