Bo Bice Undergoes Emergency Surgery  8/23/05

American Idol runner-up Bo Bice is recovering after having had emergency intestinal surgery on Friday (19AUG05).

The rocker was has been forced to pull out of three American Idols Live Tour dates following the surgery, which was performed to help Bice fight ulcers that have crippled him in recent months.

According to friends, a specialist was flown to Desert Springs Hospital in Las Vegas, Nevada to perform the surgery.

The American Idols Live Tour hasn't been a fun outing for Bice, who broke his foot onstage last month (JUL05) and had been performing in a cast.
