BURBANK, Calif. - August 24, 2005 - In an interview with "Access
Hollywood," Joe Simpson reveals that the first time his daughter,
singer Ashlee Simpson, will perform in front of a televised audience since
her "Saturday Night Live" lip-synching incident, will be on
"The Oprah Winfrey Show," instead of returning to the late-night
comedy show, as initially reported. The interview airs on "Access
Hollywood," Wednesday, August 24, (check local listings for time and
station).
"We are going to push SNL back because we are doing "The
Oprah Winfrey Show" for one-hour," Simpson revealed.
"(Oprah) is going to be the first interview and the first place where
Ashlee sings."
"Access Hollywood" is produced by NBC and distributed by NBC
