McClaine Disapproves Of New Cameron Diaz Movie Poster
8/28/05
Hollywood veteran Shirley Maclaine hit out at the marketing men behind
her new film In Her Shoes because the initial poster artwork for the
project featured only a picture of co-star Cameron Diaz.
Maclaine wasn't bitter because she didn't feature on the billboard; she
merely felt bad for Aussie actress Toni Collette, who plays Diaz's sister
in the star-studded film - because she felt she deserved to be on the
poster.
The Terms of Endearment star says, "Maybe they're right to go with
freewheeling, gorgeous Cameron. I'd have a question if I was Toni... but
you can't fight marketing."
That said, maybe you can - after hearing Maclaine's remarks and
comments from Diaz, who confessed she didn't like the poster, movie bosses
have confirmed the initial artwork will "evolve to a multi-character
look."
In the hotly-anticipated film, Diaz plays a ditzy seductress who is
forced to move in with her grandmother (Maclaine) when her life falls
apart. |
