Lost Star's Tantrum Nearly Cost Him His Role  8/30/05

Naveen Andrews nearly missed out on a part in hit US TV series Lost, simply because he was offended the producers auditioned another actor before him.

The 36-year-old actor rang his agent in a rage when he realized he was not the only choice for the role, and his fragile ego almost got the better of him.

He says, "I remember going to the audition and somebody else came along and the producers saw him before me.

"I rang my manager and said: 'What's going on here? I'm leaving!'

"Thank God I didn't, because otherwise I wouldn't be here now."
