Hilary Duff Visits War Heroes  8/31/05

Pop star Hilary Duff is a regular visitor to the injured US soldiers recuperating at Washington DC's National Naval Medical Center because she loves to hear their war stories.

The So Yesterday singer, 17, fears that many of those she visits have no interest in her or her music career, but that won't keep her away.

The conscientious teen says, "Their stories are incredible... Who knows if they even care about me, but I think it's that I come that's important.

"When there are people who are 19 years `old, putting their life on the line fighting for our freedom every single day, you should support them. Show them that respect."
