Santoro Joins the Cast of Lost 8/1/06
Rodrigo Santoro is set to join the cast of "Lost" when
production resumes for Season Three.
One of Brazil's most talented and famous young actors, Santoro was most
recently seen in the films "Love Actually" and "Charlie's
Angels: Full Throttle." He has also been featured for the past two
years as the "mystery man," opposite Nicole Kidman, in the Baz
Luhrmann-directed commercial for Chanel. His Brazilian films include
"Carandiru," "Behind the Sun" and
"Brainstorm."
Santoro has won eight Best Actor awards in Brazil, including the first
ever award for Best Actor from the Brazilian Academy of Arts and Film for
"Brainstorm." He also appeared opposite Helen Mirren and Anne
Bancroft in the Showtime film, "The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone."
He will soon be seen in the feature film "300."
"Lost" stars Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Mr. Eko, Naveen
Andrews as Sayid, Henry Ian Cusick as Desmond, Emilie de Ravin as Claire,
Michael Emerson as Henry Gale, Matthew Fox as Jack, Jorge Garcia as
Hurley, Josh Holloway as Sawyer, Daniel Dae Kim as Jin, Yunjin Kim as Sun,
Evangeline Lilly as Kate, Dominic Monaghan as Charlie and Terry O'Quinn as
Locke.
"Lost" was created by Jeffrey Lieber and J.J. Abrams &
Damon Lindelof. Abrams, Lindelof, Bryan Burk, Jack Bender, Jeff Pinkner
and Carlton Cuse serve as executive producers. "Lost," which is
filmed entirely on location in Hawaii, is from Touchstone Television.
