Boyzone Star Quits Love Island Reality Show  8/8/06

Former Boyzone singer Shayne Lynch has quit British reality dating show Love Island to reconcile with a former girlfriend.

The Love Me for a Reason hit maker, 29, has been reluctant to cosy up with any of the sexy female contestants on the Fiji-set show, because he has feelings for a former love.

After deciding to walk out yesterday (07AUG06), Lynch explained, "Earlier this year I made some wrongs that I need to make right.

"My time has come and I need to leave this place. There's somebody who really owns my heart and that's where it lies right now."

The show's contestants have included Jackass prankster Steve-O and former basketball ace Dennis Rodman.
