Justin Timberlake's Acting Impacts Music  8/9/06

Pop star-turned-actor Justin Timberlake has found his songwriting is enhanced by his roles on the silver screen.

The 25-year-old made his movie debut with a critically-panned performance in Edison last year (05) but he insists, despite the poor reviews, Hollywood has honed his skills elsewhere.

He says, "These roles helped me write my album (Futuresex/Love Sounds).

"Today, I play a character in most of my songs. It's not autobiographical. In each song I'm the main character of an elaborate story told through each song.

They're like mini-movies."
