Jennifer Aniston comforted Kate Hudson in the wake of her split from husband Chris Robinson, when the actresses bumped into each other in Los Angeles.

The former Friends actress understands Hudson's anguish following her high profile divorce from Brad Pitt last year (06) and was quick to give the Skeleton Key beauty some words of advice.

Hudson wed The Black Crowes front man on New Year's Eve 2000 after dating for nearly a year. They have a son, Ryder Russell, who was born on 7 January 2004.
