Winfrey Picks Students for Her New School
Oprah Winfrey has delighted 73 disadvantaged girls by surprising them
with a place in the new school she is building in South Africa.
The legendary chat show host has spent more than $15 million (#8.3
million) on the educational centre built in the town of Meyerton,
Johannesburg. She hopes the school will give the students a better chance
in life and allow them to attend the "best universities in the
Winfrey says, "This is so exciting for me, for the girls and their
