Rupert Grint's Driving Shame  8/24/06

Harry Potter star Rupert Grint can't drive his brand-new car - because he failed his driving test.

The British actor has treated himself to a new Mini, but he will have to slap on learner plates, at least until he takes the test again.

Grint, who turns 18 today (24AUG06), says, "I failed my test and I'm gutted and embarrassed that I can't drive. I only failed on one thing. I didn't look behind me on a three-point turn. But failing on one thing is more annoying than failing on a few things. But I'll pass next time.

"I've actually brought a Mini. My dad sits in the passenger seat when I want to go somewhere. It's black and I've pimped it up."
