Natalie Portman Offers Sick Kid Clothes and Memorabilia  8/25/06

Star Wars star Natalie Portman is auctioning off clothes and movie memorabilia to help raise cash for a friend's young son, who has been diagnosed with Bloom's Syndrome.

The actress was heartbroken when she discovered little Milo Gladstone had been diagnosed with the rare genetic disorder and hurriedly scoured her closets to see what she could sell to help.

Among the items Portman will offer up to fans at the clothesoffourback.org Internet auction on 27 August (06) is the musical snow globe she and cast mates were given as gifts after the Star Wars saga finished shooting.

She says, "It was a little hard to part with."
