Usher Skipped First Dance With Tameka Foster  8/9/07

R&B star Usher failed to enjoy his first post-marital dance with new wife Tameka Foster - they opted for an "intimate" candlelit meal instead.

The 28-year-old singer married pregnant stylist Foster, 37, in a small ceremony in his native Atlanta, Georgia, last Friday (03Aug07) and the couple decided to shun the traditional first dance so they could enjoy their first married moments in private.

He tells Us magazine, "It was beautiful and private. We didn't have a first dance - but we had a lovely, intimate dinner filled with candlelight and flowers."

But the Yeah! hit maker plans to make amends with a bigger wedding ceremony "sometime later in the year, or after the baby is born".

The couple is expecting their first child together this winter (07).
