Big Brother 8 POV Ceremony Sets Up Potential Surprise Eviction for Thursday  8/14/07

The Big Brother 8 house is now primed for a huge shock at Thursday nights eviction primarily due to the "America's Player" twist.  After Dick and Danielle were put up for eviction they formed a "secret" alliance with Jen and Zach.  Since it seemed like either Dick or Danielle were certain to be evicted this week the remaining players had little reason for concern.

After Dick won the Power of Veto things have changed.

America has begun to instruct "America's Player" Eric to commit Big Brother suicide by getting him to attempt to evict his ally Dustin who just saved him from eviction last week and then give his closest friend Jessica the silent treatment.  For whatever reason he has decided to follow orders setting him up to play the stupidest game in show history.  It seems that the same people that kept voting for Sanjaya on American Idol this season are alive and well and have now turned on Eric for their jollies.

At the PoV ceremony on Monday, Dick removed his daughter Danielle from the block.  Having not learned anything from the rouge votes this season, surprise votes throughout the last eight seasons and Marcellas' stupid decision not to use the veto on himself in season three, Jessica nominated Dustin to replace Danielle.  Instead of making 100% sure that one of their own does not leave, the group has chosen to not alienate Jen or Zach by making the most obvious choice.  Zach has convinced Jessica he will vote however she wants but this is a wildcard.

So as it stands the likely votes are Danielle, Zach, Jen and Eric (America) will vote to evict Dustin.  Amber and  Jameka will vote to evict Dick.  By a vote of 4-2 Dustin will be evicted.

This could change of course as lots of things happen over the period of Tuesday-Thursday.  Jen and/or Zach are playing both sides of the house and could flip to vote Dick out thinking their votes should be in the majority so as to not expose their new alliance.  After all they have no idea that Eric is compromised and haven't a clue his vote could go the other way. America could also flip their vote from Dustin to Dick when they get another chance to vote tonight (Tuesday).  Dustin is fortunate they only let Joe vote 10 times on this America's choice question.

BIG BROTHER 8 is broadcast each week on Sundays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), Tuesdays (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) and the live eviction show, hosted by Julie Chen, on Thursdays (8:00-9:00 PM live ET/delayed PT).
